Native plants — their beauty and benefits
Why choose native plants?
At Pelicans Landing G C, we are passionate about creating sustainable, low-maintenance gardens that not only enhance the beauty of your home, but improve ecological health as well.
That’s why we are huge fans of Australian native plants! The texture & structure of Native vegetation is extremely varied, coming in a bewitching array of colours, foliage types & growth forms.
They are perfectly suited to our unique climate and soil conditions & generally require less maintenance, water, and fertiliser compared to non-native plants. Plus, they attract and protect the biodiversity in your garden — providing vital habitat and food sources for our incredible native birds, insects & critters.
NB: Soil enhancement or creating raised beds / mounding, may be necessary in areas where the top soil has been stripped to create building sites.
We stock an incredibly diverse range of native plants from ground covers, grasses, flowering perennials, vines, small / medium shrubs, large shrubs / small trees, majestic trees to bush tucker.
So whether you're looking to attract local wildlife, create a low-maintenance garden, or simply add a touch of Australian beauty to your outdoor space, our native plants are the perfect choice. They do also blend well with non-invasive exotics / non-native plants that are similar in their requirements & thus can complement any range of garden preferences.
If you're ready to explore the wonderful world of native plants, our friendly knowledgeable staff are here to help you make a selection to compliment your aesthetic, suit your site and enhance biodiversity.
